I think you are right on this one. I've always said that true wealth is when you can make stuff to sell. Teaching folks how to do things or providing knowledge is a dead end street. I hate to see how manufacturing in the states has gone away. Even the best of of the manufacturing firms.....well they end up being from somewhere else. Not good....

I think the reasons pre-date offshoring. US industry doesn't make things and doesn't glory in innovation the way it once did.
