Hi,

There is a swing check valve made for the water industry that allows the disc to be removed with hinged pin. It still has to be isolated but you dont have to remove the valve body or the pin. Manufacturer is in Europe, AVK. Perhaps this is what the specifier is after.

Otherwise I dont see how one could remove the disc whilst in service, certainly not with hydrocarbons.
