If you are looking with respect to pipe, API 5L (specification for line
pipe) defines two Product Specification Levels level PSL 1 and PSL 2.
These are to define standard Technical requirements. PSL 2 has mandatory
requirements.

Refer to Section 1.2 of API5L. specification.

PSL stands for Product Specification Levels
