From inception Australia has had large multinationals designing offshore and constructing here. They come from the USA, Korea, Japan, UK, Germany etc. then there was a move to do the engineering down under. that was fashionable for a while. Now because of the famed globalisation we are seeing the offices down here subbing the design work to India, Phillipines, China and Malaysian swet shops.

The niche market acitivities are the way to go as even the bbig boys dont trust the overseas mobs to do the hard "black art" stuff. Stuff ups normally occur during construction , debottle necking, maintenance or revamps. Thats where most work comes from here.

Then there are the lawyers, Royal Commissions, insurance companies, public authorities and other criminal organisations who want specialist opinions.
