I noticed there were a couple different references reportedly on flow velocities
noted by others in the thread
<a href="http://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=138146&page=6">http://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=138146&page=6</a> [other threads this
basic site discuss more specialized aspects e.g. headloss, surge, sedimentation
and/or erosion etc. effects as a result of "velocity").

Subject: [PipingDesign] [Fwd: common fluid velocities]
Hello,
I'm looking for a chart that shows common fluid velocities for piping system design (commercial design). Can you help me with this at all?
