Query of PDS modelling

Dear Members,

I would like to know the following :->
1)What is the standard/general practice being followed nowadays for underground piping modelling?.
2)Is the 3D modelling is carried out in PDS/PDMS or 2D GA drawings generated by civil department are only used?.
