normally design firms the like of EPC and big companies the like of
ExxonMobil has their own Design Guide and Spec that inlcuded design
details for the installation of gauges/meters - i used to work with
them.
What im emphasizing here are there are some design changes or mods
in the piping system that require not only producing the design
details of where to install a component/fitting the likes of temp
gauges - for example material spec, risk evaluation, WPS, what-if,
revision to all affected docs and many more may need to be consider
and documented.
