If it was Outlook that caused the problem in the first place, I'd stay away from Outlook. The switchover to Thunderbird is quite painless. As you mentioned in another message, you can have a RAID1 setup with an external hard drive, burn DVDs AND upload to a remote webserver as data backup, but the corrupted file will just be corrupted in more than one location.

Too bad you can't just convert your PST files to one big txt file.
