That was in air separation, and the material change from AL to SS was done with welded explosion-fused transition joints (for smaller pipe sizes/liquids) or straight flange-to-flange mating with Solon washer assemblies/insulating kits. I don't recall seeing LJ flanges being used and can't remember the bolt and nut materials.
