Hi there,
May be because of cleaniness reqt of oxygen service, basically we try to avoid any sort of rusting, deposits in oxygen service.Because of this constraint contractors or EP company specify S.S. piping for oxygen piping. Deposits and contamination can cause fire and hence safety hazard. Although I have seen vendor (praxair) using Carbon steel piping and they take care throught till commisoning i.e ensuring clean pipe Could you tell me properties of XYLAN coating? Bye
