Work with Piping and other Mechanical Equipment in plants and in facilties (normally projects of the US DoD). Ive seen several of my friends either badly injured or lost their life as a consequence of works related to mechanical works either during construction, installation, turnaorund or shutdown or on-stream maintenance. Several of these incidents are related to process piping.
In the past decade, the Process Safety Management has taken their roots and many big corporation in the US and Europe has adopted it. Yet this subject has been rarely discussed here. Similalry no discussion has been brought related to API Piping Inspection Code - the 570 and its companion the API Fitness for service. Practically the API 576 has also not been touched.
Seems that everybody is interested only in B31. But man, once the plant went on-stream, youre gonna need a much stronger pill than the b31.
