Steve:
Many of us are stuck in a similar situation. HP had the best calculators on earth, but fails to understand what they have (or value the skills of the users). Marketing is almost as unfathomable as law, and perhaps more dangerous to society!
HP stopped making the 32 II in late 2002 (luckily I bought one in 2000). They make exactly two non-financial RPN calculators now... actually they make only 3 scientific calculators now. one is the HP33S - still stuck with a shift-to-get-pi design (who does the design? obviously not an engineer or technical person!), and 2 line entry, and both RPN and algebraic entry (why?), for US$50. They also have a very basic model, the HP9s, for US$12. Maybe I ought to be 2 of each to assure myself that I will get through the next 18 - 20 years......
You can also try e-bay and Amazon. Undoubtedly someone bought the last pallet and will auction them off!

RE: [PipingDesign] OT: Mechanical Calculators - Addiators
In a similar vein, I am down to my last HP32S RPN scientific calulator.
Anyone know where I can get some replacements? The latest HP RPNs either look like over-featured crap or only have financial functions. I have used
RPN for too long to be comfortable with anything else.
Oh for another HP10C. But with dual display and a non-shift Pi button.
Pipe
dreams.
Cheers
