You can get them from the ANSI site and the ASME site. There are
other like Global Engineering who have copies, but I buy mine from
the ASME. To be perfectly honest, I think they're way over-priced,
but ASME and ANSI is the only band in town and if you want to dance,
you dance to their tune.
BTW, the download from Piping Design Central isn't repeat isn't B31.1. It's the Los Alamos National Laboratory's manual of practice for using B31.1. You'll find some useful info in there but it's intended to be site specific, and they mandate things and outline practices that won't apply elsewhere.
There are a number of sites on the web with information of this sort. The following is a collection of mine. Some of these links may be dead or redundant or inapplicable to your practice and there are doubtless more. For example I'm almost certain there's a US Navy web site with their own take on things and probably the ABS and Lloyds and DNV have sites with references. You can go into info-overload real quick in this area, but ferreting this stuff out is the only way to learn how to use the web to advantage.
