A joint API & ASME   standard was being developed circa. 2005 based on papers from ASME PV &   Piping Conference in Denver, that year. I see that ASME now has an E-Book   product titled "FFS-1 - 2007 Fitness for Service". But no hard-bound copy   seems to be available.

Is "FFS-1 - 2007 Fitness for Service" the outcome of the joint work of   API/ASME and the latest edition of API RP 579? Has "FFS-1 - 2007 Fitness   for Service" taken effect and superseded RP 579 at this time?
