BTW, corrosion removes or degrades material through a chemical mechanism. Erosion removes material mechanically by a wearing process or abrasion. The formation of rust is corrosion: the result of a reaction between iron and oxygen to produce iron oxide. Fluid containing a gritty substance (a slurry) thins out piping when the solids erode the pipe wall: a process of erosion.

I'll nag a little more about spelling: if you can't spell it you can't look it up and if you can't look it up, you'll never learn anything.
