A class refers to a certain pressure-temperature rating.
Class followed by a dimensionless number is the designation for a
particular pressure-temperature rating.
And Pressure temperature ratings are maximum allowable working gauge
pressures @ the stated temperature.
Schedules are standard thicknesses that provide a convenient designation
while ordering pipe.
I suggest you check
* API 6A, API5L * ASME B16.5, B36.10, B36.19,
