Let's see if any other members care about the presentation of deliverables before I start ranting wildly again and pissing-off the other thousand or so people that supposedly read this list.

I mean, really, our business is one where legible documents have to be provided so that real, live people can fabricate and install heavy pieces.

Not every company has the resources to be compliant to ISO requirements and even those who do often take a lax attitude towards it because it is just a "stamp of approval" used to get projects.

I'm just guessing, but I surmise that software companies don't have to adhere to very many standards. If you look at the EULAs of most packages you'd be surprised at what they are not responsible for.
