you may be able to flush them, but you will need to scope the pipe to ensure they come out. They will very likely get caught on the weld joints. By the way, if the welder left electrodes in the pipe, what else did he not do correctly?

We have recently completed erection of 12" dia 400 m long Carbon Steel Piping Loop. Due to welding of piping joints, some unburnt welding electrodes are present in the piping. Please provide your input regarding flushing of these electrodes. Is it possible to move these electrode by circulating water at certain velocity and trap in the temporary strainer.
