We typically shop fab all small bore piping, but all jobs we do this on are designed in 3-D. Pre-fab takes away the thought process in a large job. We focus more on engineering and design to lay out the piping and try to reduce field labor to get a quicker install.
I'd say on small jobs in existing areas you're not saving anything. On large 3-D designed jobs, we see BIG savings.
