If you have your email browser set to show only plain text (in Thunderbird as View - Message Body As - Plain Text), the html footer (which includes the unsubscribe information) and side bar are not shown and not replaced by a text equivalent. I don't see in Yahoo Groups where an individual can select a preference of receiving plain text or html. I didn't realize I was not getting everything until a previous post from someone trying to unsubscribe and someone responding about info at the bottom of the message; I turned on html and "wow" - all kinds of stuff popped up.
Since Piping Design is moving to the new system, it may not be an issue for long. (Although you might make sure that any emails sent by the new system have text equivalents that include the required information).
