Check Valve in Drain Pocket

Hello.

In piping layout check valve has been installed in drain pocket and at the down stream drain connection is provided after check valve.

Now i want to ask should we provide drain point at both upstream and down stream of check valve. or only drain connection at downstream is sufficient ?

i want to know about best pratice in this case.
