Dear Sajit,
I have rechecked pipe wall thickness and its still under specified valve. Also STD sch is commercially easily available. PSL 2 has mandatory requirements for carbon equivalent, notch toughness, maximum yield strength, and maximum tensile strength and repair by welding is also prohibited.
We need this pipe for Cooling Water only. That's why we want to deviate for specified requirements.
Regards.

The ordering information requirements under product specification level PSL-2 has to be specified, that is to say there is no default attribute, if something is not specified. Under PSL-1 there are default attributes for many of the ordering information, if not specified.
Irrespective of the PSL levels, the required thickness for a given grade and product form is the same. 10.3 mm cannot be substituted with 9.53 mm, unless verified.
Sajit
"Now vendor is offering PSL1 pipe with 9.53 thickness (STD Sch). I want to know can we accept vendor's offer of PSL1 pipe As per API 5L PLS2 have more strict testing requirements, "
