"The Rules" are more or less posted at the Onelist site <http://www.onelist.com/community/PipingDesign>. Essentially, the basics are:
Rules:
-No spam (I control postings and subscriptions, so this is not really
a problem. Yet.)
-No advertising (I OK'd Otto's post about Rebis because it was
directed to a non-piper, new subscriber, and served as an intro to a
general question of mine)
-Personal attacks are not allowed
Netiquette:
-Try to edit the previous message you reply to. Listers don't need to see an entire message quoted if you only want to address one part of the dialogue. Be succinct, non-verbose, decomplexify complications, eschew obfuscation and get quickly to the point if at all possible
-Jokes are OK, as long as they are on-topic -Don't send binary files or attachments to the list -Remember that what you write is being read by people, not a machine _____________________________________________________________________

Are you active on usenet? Do you know how to effectively use a search engine? How long have you been online? Do you know what "Boolean" means? How much free time do you have to waste goofing around learning about the 'net?
Onelist is pretty good as a list host. There are others, however, just look around. I have an upcoming list and webpage about Schnabels (road-going transportation devices for very large shipments such as transformers, cold boxes, bridge trusses, etc.), would you like to moderate it as a trial session?
