"Versatility" can have its own problems, though. With the more expensive packages, most everything is already worked-out, and the problems that *do* exist are well-known by management ahead of time.

User-customizable software such as Rebis still has to rely on a competent user base at the client, doesn't it? Or offer a really expensive on-site consultant who may or may not have an immediate solution to a problem.

I've used Autoplant 97, and it's pretty good. Got bugs, but pretty good.
